Conspirators will not be given any concessions : Jinnah Kabir

Kamrul Hasan : BNP Central Executive Committee member, former District BNP General Secretary, senior member of District BNP Convening Committee and Manikganj-1 constituency paddy sheaf leader SA Jinnah Kabir has commented that conspirators will not be given any concessions to protect the country`s independence, constitution and democracy.

He made these comments while addressing the party leaders, activists, supporters, general voters and local people during the 31-point campaign and road meeting to repair the state structure announced by Desh Nayak BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at Ulta Bari School Ground in Dhameshwar Union of Daulatpur Upazila of Manikganj on Friday afternoon.

Union BNP President Advocate Alek Mia presided over the meeting, which was attended by District and District Jubo Dal Convener Kazi Mostaq Hossain Dipu, Ghior Upazila BNP President Mir Manikuzzaman Manik, Upazila BNP President Sirajul Islam, General Secretary Anisur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Habibullah Nomani, Former Joint Convener of District Volunteer Party Masud Biswas, District Volunteer Party Senior Joint Convener Kazi Nadim Hossain Tuel, Joint Convener Roni Bhandari, District Chhatra Dal Senior Joint General Secretary Zahidul Islam Jihad, Organizing Secretary Shakib Khan Ayan, and leading figures of District, Upazila, Union and Ward BNP and all its associate organizations.

Jinnah Kabir said that a group is conspiring in various ways to thwart the 13th National Parliament elections. Some are trying to question the election, while others are trying to delay the election with the help of foreign masters. However, the countrymen are now united to resist them. “The people of Bengal will not accept any other method,” he added.

He also said, “The people of Bangladesh have been waiting for a free, fair and impartial election for a long time. Through that election, we want to establish a people`s government. No one has the power to thwart this election.”

The Chief Election Commissioner made that point clear in response to the PR method.
He reminded that the people will decide who will come to power. The beauty of democracy is the difference of opinion; therefore, there must be a mentality to contain criticism and dissent.

He said that some new parties with foreign cooperation are trying to create conspiracies and instability in the country. However, the people of the country will never accept these conspiracies.

Warning the leaders and activists, he said that no kind of influence or injustice can be done on the common people. If any complaint is made against anyone, organizational and legal action will be taken if necessary.

He clearly stated that BNP is a party of the people. Therefore, solving the problems of the common people should be given the highest priority. “Those who will work considering the problems of the people as their own problems are what we need. Those who do not, we do not need in our party.”

He called for the success of the 31-point program announced by national hero Tarique Rahman to fulfill the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and for further strengthening the organizational structure to ensure the victory of the rice sheaf in every constituency of Manikganj, known as the stronghold of BNP.

He prayed for the speedy recovery of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, good health and long life of Tarique Rahman, and for the welfare of the country.
Earlier, he attended the funeral of the father of Upazila Jubo Dal joint convener Fariduzzaman Farid in Tepra, Shibaloy and later met party leaders and activists at Terasree Yasin intersection, Pancharasta intersection and Battala in Ghior Upazila.
