PSTC, DGFP Discuss Strengthening Family Planning Collaboration

Online Desk: Dr. Noor Mohammad, Executive Director of PSTC, paid a courtesy call to Dr. Jinnat Rehana following her assumption of office as Director General of the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) on Sunday.

During the meeting, Dr. Noor Mohammad briefed the newly appointed DG on PSTC’s mission, key programmatic areas, and the scope of collaboration between PSTC and DGFP, said a press release.

He highlighted how the organisations shared priorities aligned in advancing family planning, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and improving access to quality health services for underserved communities.

Dr. Noor also informed Dr. Rehana about the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PSTC and DGFP.

The agreement provides a framework for enhanced coordination and collaboration between the two organisations to strengthen family planning and SRHR initiatives across Bangladesh, with a particular focus on marginalised populations, youth, and adolescents.

Dr. Jinnat Rehana welcomed the collaboration and appreciated the ongoing efforts of PSTC and DGFP to advance shared goals in SRHR and family planning.

She expressed her support for continued partnership and thanked the PSTC team for the courtesy visit
