Son hacked his father to death in Tangail

Md. Babu Mia, Tangail: The boy hacked his father to death in a family quarrel in Tangail Sadar Upazila. The deceased was identified as Abdul Kadduch, 65. The incident took place at Shimul village inside Magra union of the upazila on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Abdul Kadduch, son of late Maidullah of Vitor Shimul village.

Police and locals said Kadduch and his wife had an argument on Friday night. Later that night the wife left the house. Later on Saturday morning, the boy could not see his mother at home and at one stage, the son Lutfar hit Abdul Kadduch with a sharp weapon. Abdul Kadduch died on the spot.

Chairman of Magra Union Parishad Md. Azahar Uddin said, "I have heard that the son has hacked his father to death. I am going to the spot."

Sadar Police Station OC Mir Mosharraf Hossain said police recovered the body and sent it to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy. A murder case is being prepared at the police station.
