Press conference held in Kaliganj on National Fisheries Week

Kaliganj Correspondent: A press conference was held with local media workers on the occasion of National Fisheries Week in Kaliganj, Gazipur. The press conference was held in the Upazila conference room on Monday morning.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Azizur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Abu Sama spoke at the press conference organized by Kaliganj Administration and Fisheries Department.

The Upazila Fisheries Officer said that catching or killing small fish, renu-poona is completely prohibited during the National Fisheries Week from July 24 to 30. He also said that throughout the year in the fisheries law, the killing of reindeer and illegal China door, fishing with mosquito nets is prohibited and the campaign will continue.

In the Fisheries Week press conference on the theme of "Safe Fish Bharbo Desh, Build Smart Bangladesh", various print, electronic, and online media workers working in the upazila were present.
