DB releases 6 quota protest coordinators

Six Coordinators of the quota reform movement, who were in the detective branch`s custody, were released this afternoon.

The coordinators are- Nahid Islam, Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah, Abu Baker Majumdar, Asif Mahmud and Nusrat Tabassum.

DB Ramna division additional commissioner (ADC) Azhar Mukul confirmed the matter.

According to the DB officials, the six coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement were taken into custody for their safety.

On July 26, the three coordinators of the quota reform movement - Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud and Abu Baker Majumdar, were taken from a hospital to the DB office.

On July 27, Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah and Nusrat Tabassum were also taken into DB custody. BSS
