3 held with phensidyl, ganja and Eskuf in Lalmonirhat

(BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two separate raids seized huge quantities of various drugs and arrested three presumed drug dealers from different places of Lalmonirhat district on Friday.


The seized drugs include 39 bottles of Phensidyl, four kgs of ganja, 96 bottles of Eskuf and 100 bottles of phensidyl-like drug CHOCO. Two motorcycles were also seized during the drives, a press release said this evening.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB-13’s Rangpur Sadar Company in a raid seized 39 bottles of phensidyl and four kgs of ganja and arrested a man from Purbo Kadma village under Hatibandha police station of Lalmonirhat at 1:50 pm on Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Md Aminur Islam, 40, son of Md Rabiul Islam of the same village.

In another raid, a team of RAB-13’s Sadar Company seized 100 bottles of phensedyl-like drug CHOCO, 96 bottles of ESKuf and two motorcycles and arrested two persons from Chandrapur under Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat at 6 pm on Friday.

The arrestees were identified as - Md Ruhul Amin, 22, son of late Mujibar Rahman of village Khamarbhati and Kausar Islam, 21, son of Meher Ali, of village Chandrapur under Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat district.

The seized drugs and arrested persons have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal action.
