| Kamrul Hasan: S.A. Jinnah Kabir, a member of the BNP Central Executive Committee, former General Secretary of Manikganj District BNP, and Senior Member of the District Convening Committee, as well as the leader of the "Dhaner Shish" in Manikganj-1, has remarked that BNP’s Acting Chairman and national leader Tareq Rahman is the main supporter of the country’s overall development and the implementation of people`s fundamental rights, in the context of safeguarding Bangladesh’s independence, sovereignty, and democracy. On Friday (October 31), in the courtyard of Board Bazar in Char Katari, Daulatpur Upazila, Manikganj, after distributing leaflets and engaging in public outreach as part of the campaign for the “31-Point State Structure Reform” announced by Acting Chairman Tareq Rahman, S.A. Jinnah Kabir delivered the keynote speech at a rally organized by the Union BNP and all its affiliated organizations. Addressing party activists, ordinary voters, and local residents, he emphasized these points during his speech. The event was presided over by Char Katari Union BNP President Md. Waj Uddin, with participation from district BNP Youth Convenor Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, Senior Vice President of the District Krishak Dal Masudur Rahman Masud, former Agriculture Secretary of District BNP Mohammad Lokman Hossain, Training Secretary Ferdous Rahman, Ghiur Upazila BNP President Mir Manikuzzaman Manik, Shibaloy Upazila BNP President Mizanur Rahman, Upazila BNP President Sirajul Islam, General Secretary Anisur Rahman Anis, Joint General Secretary Habibullah Nomani, Shibaloy Upazila BNP Organizational Secretary Nasir Uddin, Shibaloy Upazila Jubo Dal President Md. Hossain Ali, other BNP and affiliated organization leaders, local dignitaries, and thousands of residents. In his speech, S.A. Jinnah Kabir stated, “The primary goal of BNP now is to protect national sovereignty, establish the fundamental rights of the people, and strengthen the organization under the guidance of national leader Tareq Rahman. The implementation of the 31-point plan is the path to fulfilling the commitment of restructuring the state apparatus.” He added, “Under the farsighted leadership of national leader Tareq Rahman, the fall of authoritarianism occurred through the combined movements of BNP and the people. Now, it is necessary to transform the fruits of that movement into sustainable development in a united manner. We must continue the path of national development inspired by the ideals of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman.” He further remarked, “As part of fulfilling the long-standing 17-year expectations of the people, the caretaker government has decided to hold national elections in February of 2026. However, a certain faction is conspiring to sabotage the elections under the guise of the ‘PR system.’ This negative force must be countered in unity for the country’s welfare.” Addressing party leaders and activists, he called for active participation to ensure the victory of the “Dhaner Shish” and encouraged women to play a leading role in political activities. He also prayed for the recovery of the country’s leader Begum Khaleda Zia and for the good health and longevity of national leader Tareq Rahman.
