Police have recovered the body of an infant wrapped with plastic at Begumganj upazila in Noakhali district.

The body was recovered at regional passport office area under Eklashpur union adjacent to an educational institute on Tuesday afternoon.

The police station officer-in-charge Liton Dewan confirmed the recovery and said that being informed a police team recovered the body.

The body will be sent to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy on Wednesday morning, the OC added.
