  Date : 04-04-2025

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia arrived in London in January to receive advanced treatment at The London Clinic, where her son, Tarique Rahman, welcomed her.
BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was seen roaming in a London park with her family on Tuesday as part of celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

Tarique Rahman, BNP Acting Chairman and the eldest son of Khaleda Zia, took his mother on a wheelchair through the park, accompanied by other family members, according to BNP Media Cell Member Shairul Kabir Khan on Wednesday.

A video of Khaleda Zia in the park on a wheelchair went viral on social media. In the video, she is seen being pushed by her Personal Assistant, Md Masudur Rahman, while Tarique Rahman walks alongside her with his family. Khaleda Zia’s Personal Physician and BNP National Standing Committee Member, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, was also present.

Khaleda Zia, who traveled to London for medical treatment, is currently staying at the residence of her eldest son, Tarique Rahman.

On January 7, Begum Khaleda Zia arrived in London via a royal air ambulance sent by Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. She was treated at `The London Clinic` for 17 days under the care of Professor John Patrick Kennedy. Following her treatment, and based on recommendations from the medical board at The London Clinic, she was moved to Tarique Rahman’s residence for further care under the supervision of Professor Patrick Kennedy and Professor Jennifer Cross.
