Rafiqul Islam, Kushtia Correspondent : Four hotels have been fined a total of Tk 16,000 in a mobile court operation in Mirpur, Kushtia.
The operation was conducted at various hotels in the upazila`s market area on Wednesday (April 2).
The mobile court was conducted by Mirpur Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Nazmul Islam.
It is learned that the owner of Mirpur Bazar`s Hotel Ujjwal Mishtanna Bhandar (Rabi`s Hotel) has been fined Tk 5,000, the owner of Jahangir Hotel has been fined Tk 5,000, the owner of Anand Hotel has been fined Tk 3,000 and Bhavesh Hotel has been fined Tk 3,000, a total of Tk 16,000.
In this regard, Mirpur Upazila Executive Officer and Mobile Court Executive Magistrate Nazmul Islam said, "Such campaigns will continue in the public interest."
