BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has assured that no law contradicting the Quran and Sunnah will be enacted in Bangladesh.
He made the remarks on Thursday evening following a liaison meeting between BNP and Bangladesh Jamiat-ul-Modarressin held at Gausul Azam Jame Mosque Complex in Dhaka`s Mohakhali.
Salahuddin stated that BNP supports the expansion of madrasa education in Bangladesh but does not want religious institutions to be used as platforms for any specific political agenda.
He mentioned that BNP has already engaged in discussions with various political, non-political and Islamic groups, including meetings with a deputy leader of Hefazat-e-Islam, visits to Hathazari Madrasa, a meeting with Pir of Char Monai and conversations with senior figures of Alia madrasa system.
“Our goal is to unite all sections of society, fostering national harmony and collective leadership in a way that eliminates division,” Salahuddin added.
