Pakistan High Commissioner (HC) to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, held a courtesy meeting with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami chief Dr Shafiqur Rahman at the party’s office in Bashundhara on Tuesday.
The meeting was also attended by Pakistan High Commission Political Counsellor Kamran Dhangal, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, and Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair.
According to a press release from Jamaat’s press wing, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Both parties expressed optimism that bilateral relations between the “brotherly nations” would strengthen further in the future.
