China Ready to Contribute Positive Momentum to Global Growth
  Date : 16-01-2026

International Desk: China will contribute greater stability and positive energy to the global economy, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said in Beijing on January 16.

The spokesperson announced that Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, describing the forum as an important platform for discussing global economic trends and advancing cooperation and development. Vice Premier He Lifeng is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the meeting.

According to the spokesperson, the theme of this year’s annual meeting is “The Spirit of Dialogue.” At a time when the world is facing growing uncertainties and instability, and when global economic growth lacks sufficient momentum, China is keen to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with all participants, enhance cooperation and consensus, uphold genuine multilateralism, and promote an open world economy.

China also stands ready to accelerate more inclusive, mutually beneficial, and resilient global development, and to inject greater stability and positive momentum into the world economy, the spokesperson added.
