  Date : 09-05-2026

MT Desk: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian administration has seized immovable properties worth crores of rupees of three more Kashmiris in Srinagar under the guise of anti-drug campaign.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian police, on the orders of New Delhi-imposed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sahna, seized the property of Shahid Mushtaq Dar, a resident of Qamarwari area of the city, 18 marla land, a one-storey house and a cattle shed of Merajuddin Ganai in Wagora, while Tauqir Ahmed Mir’s two-storey residence in Baghat Barzulla area of Srinagar.

The total value of the seized properties is said to be more than Rs 3.5 crore.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti, while addressing a party convention in Budgam district today, expressed deep concern over the seizure and demolition of properties under the guise of an anti-drug campaign.

She said that innocent families should not be deprived of their homes. She also criticized the Chief Minister of the territory Omar Abdullah, saying that people have voted for their safety and if they liked Bulldozer Baba, why would they vote for you.
