Diplomatic Correspondent: Bangladesh Justice Party (BJP) has extended its warm greetings and congratulations to Mr. Ramesh Chandra Trivedi on his appointment as the new High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, Dr. Syed Zaved Md. Salehuddin, Chairman of Bangladesh Justice Party, said that the relationship between Bangladesh and India remains highly significant for regional stability, economic cooperation, and the overall welfare of the peoples of both countries.
Dr. Salehuddin noted that at a time when Bangladesh-India relations continue to attract considerable attention over a range of important issues, the appointment of Mr. Trivedi carries special importance. Referring to the diplomat’s extensive experience in public service and involvement in high-level policy matters, he expressed confidence that the new High Commissioner would make a positive contribution to further strengthening bilateral ties.
The Bangladesh Justice Party chairman also emphasized Bangladesh’s commitment to maintaining a friendly, constructive, and mutually beneficial relationship with India based on mutual respect, sovereign equality, and the principles of good neighbourliness.
He expressed hope that Mr. Trivedi would play an active role in enhancing cooperation, mutual understanding, and people-to-people contacts between the two neighbouring countries.
Wishing the newly appointed High Commissioner every success in his tenure, Dr. Salehuddin said he hopes the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and India will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
