  Date : 01-11-2026

Chapainawabganj Correspondent: National Youth Day 2026 was celebrated with grand festivities in Chapainawabganj, centered around the theme: "Skilled Youth Will Build the Nation—A Bangladesh for All."

The programs were organized jointly by the District Administration and the Department of Youth Development on Sunday (November 1). The day’s events commenced at 11:00 AM with a rally, marked by the release of balloons and the display of festoons. Participants in the rally included administrative officials, political figures, representatives from youth organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals from various walks of life.

Following a tree-planting initiative, a discussion meeting was held at the auditorium of the District Youth Building.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jangi, the meeting featured Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul, Member of Parliament for the Chapainawabganj-3 constituency, as the chief guest. Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas attended as a special guest.
Speakers at the event emphasized that enhancing the skills of the youth is essential for keeping the national economy vibrant and dynamic. They encouraged the younger generation to pursue self-employment initiatives rather than relying solely on traditional jobs.
The welcome address was delivered by Swapan Kumar Karmakar, Deputy Director of the District Department of Youth Development. Other attendees included Md. Rakibul Islam, Deputy Coordinator of the District Department of Youth Development, along with local political leaders and administrative officials. The event was moderated by Md. A key highlight of the event was a special exhibition showcasing products created by local young entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals. The exhibition featured handicrafts, cottage industry goods, garments made by women, and a diverse array of food products.
In addition to the exhibition, certificates were awarded to successful trainees, and checks for youth self-employment loans were distributed. Furthermore, registered youth organizations were honored with recognition certificates and crests.
