Two killed, five injured in Barishal road crash

online report : Two people were killed and five others injured after a bus collided with a stationary truck carrying gas cylinders on the Dhaka-Barishal highway at Kashipur in Barishal city on Sunday.

Among the deceased, one was Sohagh, 25, while the identity of the other victim remains unknown.

Lokman Hossain, inspector of Barishal Metropolitan Police, said the accident occurred in front of the BRAC office when the Barishal-bound `Bapari Paribahan` bus from Dhaka struck the truck on its way to Nathullabad Terminal, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured.

 

Following the collision, the truck plunged into a roadside pond.

The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
