Bangladesh squad announced for Women`s U19 Asia Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the inaugural ACC Women`s U19 Asia Cup, a significant milestone in the region`s cricketing history.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in Klang, Malaysia, from December 15 to 22, bringing together six teams: Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Nepal (qualifier), Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

All matches will be hosted at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval, a venue poised to witness competitive cricket from the region`s emerging talents.

The Bangladesh team is set to depart for Malaysia tomorrow (Friday) as they gear up to showcase their skills on the international stage.

Placed in Group B, Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka and Malaysia in the group stage. Group A comprises India, Pakistan, and Nepal, making the tournament a thrilling contest among regional cricketing powers.

Bangladesh`s campaign begins with a match against Sri Lanka on December 16, followed by a game against hosts Malaysia on December 17.

The squad, led by captain Sumaiya Akter and vice-captain Afia Ashima Era, features a mix of promising young players ready to make their mark.
