Sylhet Correspondent : There is an allegation of attacking the house of a migrant headed by Chhatradal leader Kamrul Islam in the Moglabazar area of Sylhet. The incident of the attack took place at the house of Abdus Salam of village Shorkar Chok under Silim (Bili) Union of Mogla Bazar Police Station around 11-00 AM morning on Thursday. Son of Abdus Salam posted on Facebook about the Honourable Chief Adviser to the Interim Government and about attending a protest rally against him in the United Kingdom.

Ariful Islam posted some photos of this rally on Social Media through his verified status of Facebook ID " Ariful Islam" on Tuesday (20 May). The miscreants attacked his house following the status.
According to family sources, Somorun Nessa, mother of the migrant, was seriously injured in the attack. She is now under treatment at a private hospital in Sylhet. The attackers also threatened her and asked why her son posted a Facebook status sarcastically criticising the government? Why did he attend the protest rally? The status should be deleted at once and he should seek pardon in public. They left after issuing the threats. After the post, it is seen in the comments of the verified Facebook of Ariful Islam that some were even threatening to kill him. A huge sensation has been created in the Upazila following the incident.

It is learnt, Ariful Islam is the former Joint General Secretary of the Daskhin Surma Upazila Chhatra League and the incumbent Member of the Secchasebak League of the United Kingdom.
