No more with traitors: Afroza Khanam Rita

Qamrul Hasan: "Never be with traitors again. If given the opportunity, they will destroy the country. Conspiracies are still going on against BNP and the country." — Afroza Khan Rita, advisor to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and convener of Manikganj District BNP, commented.

She made this comment as the chief guest at a road meeting at Saturia Bus Stand after the joyous rally organized by Saturia Upazila BNP on the occasion of the historic student-public uprising day on Tuesday (August 5).

Saturia Upazila BNP President Abdul Kuddus Khan Majlish Makhon presided over the meeting and General Secretary Abul Bashar Sarkar moderated the meeting. At that time, district BNP convening committee members Advocate Azad Hossain Khan, Advocate A.F.M. Nurtaz Alam Bahar, Golam Abedin Kaiser, SMM Iqbal Hossain, Golam Kibria Sayeed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jadu, Abdus Salam Badal, Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Habu, Advocate Arif Hossain Liton, former legal affairs secretary of the district BNP Advocate Abdul Awal, former district BNP leader Riaz Mahmud Harez, Kazi Mostaq Hossain Dipu, Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin, Saturia Upazila BNP Joint Secretary Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Shahin Azad Biplob, District Sramik Dal President Abdul Quader, Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Mohsin Uzzaman, Juba Dal Convener Amir Hamza, Sramik Dal President Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Krishak Dal President Barkat Mallick, District Chhatra Dal President Abdul Khalek Shuvo, and leading figures from all the organi- zations of the district and upazila BNP were present.

Afroza Khan Rita said to the leaders and activists, "You should not do anything that will ruin the party`s reputation. During the upcoming national elections, unity is needed, not division in the party. Everyone has to work together. I am telling mothers and sisters, prepare to go door to door and ask for votes with rice husks from now on."
She also said, "There are many new voters in Manikganj district who have never been able to vote. I am telling them to vote with rice husks to bring back good governance in the country. In this election, the leadership will be evaluated by looking at the center-based votes."

Expressing her confidence in BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, Afroza Khan Rita said, "We are not in power yet, yet BNP stood by the families of martyrs in July-August on Tarique Rahman`s instructions. The leaders themselves have gone to their homes and delivered financial assistance. Tarique Rahman is working for 18 crore people. We have to forget the division and now prepare for the national elections."

Earlier, processions from 9 unions of the upazila met at the Saturia Pilot High School ground. Later, the joy rally circled the main road of Saturia Bazar and ended at the Palliseba bus stand.
Earlier, he participated in the joy rally organized by Manikganj Sadar and Municipal BNP.
