Morshed Alam: The first meeting of the newly elected Dhaka University Central Students` Union (DUCSU) 2025 Executive Council was held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in the meeting room adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor`s office.

The meeting was chaired by Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor and DUCSU President Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan.Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and acting DUCSU Treasurer,DUCSU Vice President Md. Abu Sadik (Sadik Kayem), General Secretary S.M. Farhad, Assistant General Secretary Muha. Mohiuddin Khan and Other members of the newly elected Executive Council were present.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan congratulated the new DUCSU leaders on their victory in a transparent and participatory election. He urged them to work for the betterment of the students, rising above party politics as representatives of the student body.

A formal proposal was made to nominate five student representatives from DUCSU to the Senate, as per Article 20(1)(M).The appointment of the DUCSU Treasurer was also discussed.
