DU MPHRM Program Brings Together HR Leaders and Professionals

Special Correspondent: The Master of Professional Human Resource Management (MPHRM) Program under the Department of Management, University of Dhaka organized Professional Development Program 3.0 on the theme “Redefining HR Leadership in an Era of Continuous Change” on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the R. C. Majumdar Arts Auditorium, Faculty of Arts, and University of Dhaka.

The program featured Mr. A H M Kamal, FCMA, and Executive Vice President & Head of HR Policy & Strategy of Mercantile Bank PLC, and Mr. K. M. Sabbir Ahmed, Director – Human Resources of Marico Bangladesh Limited, as resource persons. They discussed various dimensions of contemporary HR leadership and highlighted the growing importance of data, technology, digital transformation, and HR analytics in modern organizations.

The speakers also shared valuable insights on strategic workforce management, organizational transformation, talent development, and the evolving role of HR professionals in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Management, University of Dhaka, attended the event as the Distinguished Faculty. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Mesbah Uddin, Coordinator of the MPHRM Program, Department of Management, and University of Dhaka.

The enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and professionals made the event lively and meaningful. The discussions emphasized the importance of adaptive leadership, technology-driven management, people-centric organizational culture, innovation, and continuous professional development in an era of constant change.
