Kamrul Hasan : Mohammad Mazharul Islam Payel, member of the JASAS Central Executive Committee, BNP leader, and aspirant for BNP nomination in Manikganj-2, stated that the implementation of the 31-point state reform program, announced by BNP’s Acting Chairman and national leader Tarique Rahman, is essential for building a developed and prosperous nation.
On Sunday evening, during leaflet distribution, public outreach, and street meetings in various areas including Basta Bazar and Bhumi-South Bazar of Singair Upazila, Manikganj, he conveyed these remarks to party leaders, activists, supporters, general voters, and local residents.
At the event, prominent figures from the Union BNP, including its president Md. Abu Taher, as well as leaders of BNP and all its allied organizations, were present.
Payel said, “Thanks to the foresight of national leader Tarique Rahman, the despotic government fell under the pressure of the BNP-student-public mass movement, paving the way for a fascism-free new Bangladesh. A united workforce can play a role in implementing all programs. Therefore, inspired by the ideals of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman, the country’s development must continue.”
He further stated that, to fulfill the people’s long-standing 17-year expectations, the caretaker government has decided to hold national elections in the first half of February 2026. However, anti-independence forces have continued various acts of disruption nationwide to sabotage the elections. To counter such negative forces, he called for the formation of united public opinion.
Mazharul Islam Payel advised supporters and leaders of allied organizations to play an active role in ensuring victory for the Dhanshish (paddy sheaf) symbol. He also emphasized the importance of women taking a leading role.
Finally, he prayed for the good health and longevity of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and sought everyone’s prayers for the recovery and long life of national leader Tarique Rahman.
