`Jamaat will be the first choice of mothers and sisters`

MT Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has said that his party is aware of country`s women`s security.

``We are attentive about the security of our mothers and sisters. I believe that our party will be first choice of the country’s mothers and sisters and we have been already seeing the result.``

The Jamaat Ameer also alleged that women are facing various obstacles in different places during campaign.

While speaking to reporters on Monday after meeting Evers Izabs, chief observer of the European Union election observation mission and a member of the European Parliament, in Bashundhara, Shafiqur Rahman said that in the upcoming election, the people of the country will ensure good governance.

``We have complete faith in the people. We only want the election to be free and fair.``
