Islami Andolon Bangladesh (IAB) Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim on Sunday warned that peace cannot be ensured in the country through secret meetings with foreign powers such as the United States and India.
Speaking as the chief guest at an election rally in Laxmipur`s Ramganj upazila, organized by Islami Andolan Bangladesh in support of Laxmipur-1 IAB candidate Zakir Hossain Patwari, he said, “Those who claim to act in the name of Islam but secretly meet with the US or India cannot bring peace to our people.”
He urged voters to support all candidates with `Hand Fan` symbol, saying that by doing so, Bangladesh could soon become a prosperous nation with Allah’s mercy.
