Bangladesh showcases textile, apparel strength at Texworld Paris-2026
  Date : 02-02-2026

(BSS) - Bangladesh has made a significant impact at the opening of Texworld Paris 2026, one of the world’s leading international sourcing platforms, which commenced today at the Paris–Le Bourget Exhibition Centre.

Running from February 2 to 4, 2026, the 58th edition of Texworld Paris and Apparel Sourcing has brought together over 1,100 exhibitors from 33 countries, said a press release here.

Bangladesh is featured as a major textile hub at the event, alongside other global industry leaders such as China, India, Turkiye, and Pakistan.

A diverse group of 30 Bangladeshi exhibitors is representing the nation`s growing strength in the global fashion supply chain.

The delegation includes 18 apparel manufacturers exhibiting under the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) pavilion, seven apparel companies participating independently and five direct Texworld exhibitors.

Notable Bangladeshi participants include Aaron Denim or Mab Group, Nz Denim, H&F Fashion, Uniwear Sourcing, Clover Design & Sourcing, Bengal Glory, Siraj Apparels, and Rahmat Knit Wear.

At the February or Spring 2026 edition, Khondker M. Talha, Ambassador of Bangladesh to France and Permanent Delegate of Bangladesh to UNESCO, inaugurated the `Bangladesh Pavilion` at Hall 3 as the chief guest. Officials from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), attended the event.

As the world`s second-largest exporter of ready-made garments (RMG), Bangladesh regularly participates in this prestigious event. The European Union (EU) is the largest export destination for Bangladesh`s RMG products, with France ranking as country`s fifth-largest export market.

This makes Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris a key platform for promoting Bangladesh`s RMG sector. Bangladesh`s annual exports to France stand at approximately $2.5 billion, of which apparel, textiles, and related products account for about 92%. Exports of RMG, apparel, and textiles from Bangladesh to the EU and France continue to show steady growth.

Representatives from Bangladeshi companies, journalists, buyers, and the event organizers were also present at the inauguration ceremony.

In his address, Ambassador Khondker M. Talha highlighted the key strengths and challenges of Bangladesh`s RMG sector.

He emphasized on the importance of technological upgradation including use of eco-friendly technologies, maintaining labour standards and welfare in the pace of increasing demands of due diligence, compliance, and quality enhancement in addressing buyers` requirements.

Furthermore, he underscored the significance of active and strategic participation in international expos to showcase the strengths of Bangladesh`s apparel industry.
