DU Correspondent: A four-member delegation led by Prof. Dr. Md Moshiur Rahman of Hiroshima University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at the latters of the university. Other team members were Akiko Watanabe, Yuka Iuada and Kokoro Kamitani.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Hiroshima University, Japan. Exchange of teachers, students and researchers between these two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon.  

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam apprised the guests of a brief history of Dhaka University and its academic and research activities. He thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
