Chronic pain, arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders are increasingly affecting people’s mobility, productivity and quality of life. Against this backdrop, Dr. Monzur A. Khoda, a specialist in interventional rheumatology, is working to expand access to advanced non-surgical treatment options for pain and joint conditions in Bangladesh.

His latest initiative, Regenexx Pain Solution Bangladesh, is being developed in Dhaka as a specialised pain and joint-care centre combining interventional medicine, regenerative medicine, rehabilitation and lifestyle-focused care.

The centre’s approach includes detailed diagnosis and patient selection before considering procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), autologous biologic preparations, bone-marrow-derived concentrates and micro-fat preparations. Selected interventions are performed with high-resolution ultrasound guidance to help identify and target specific anatomical structures.

The centre also incorporates technologies and therapies such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, pulsed electromagnetic or magnetic field therapy and MLS M8 robotic laser technology. Exercise, nutrition and lifestyle management are also included as part of the broader care approach, described by the centre as the “Regenexx Protocol.”

Dr. Khoda emphasises that regenerative medicine should not be considered a universal solution. According to him, appropriate diagnosis, patient selection and realistic expectations are essential before treatment.

Dr. Khoda completed his MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College & Hospital and later obtained MRCP in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, where he also underwent specialist medical training. His clinical interests include rheumatology, autoimmune diseases, interventional pain management and regenerative medicine.

The long-term vision of Regenexx Pain Solution Bangladesh includes developing a wider network of pain and joint-care centres across Asia and the Middle East.

Dr. Khoda has also received professional recognition, including membership of the American College of Physicians and Diplomate status from the American Board of Regenerative Medicine in 2025. He received a Best Poster Award at the Global Orthopedic Summit in Dubai in 2024 for research related to regenerative approaches to knee osteoarthritis.
