Chhatra Dal Leader’s Death in Phulpur Sparks Condolences

Md Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: AKM Sujauuddin Suja, General Secretary of Mymensingh North District Chhatra Dal and former Convener of Phulpur Upazila Chhatra Dal, passed away on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi Raji`un.


The young Chhatra Dal leader’s death has drawn deep condolences from several quarters. Those who expressed grief include BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasir Khan Chowdhury, Member of Parliament for Mymensingh-2 (Phulpur-Tarakanda) Mufti Muhammadullah, Convener of Mymensingh North District BNP Enayet Ullah Kalam, Joint Convener Motahar Hossain Talukder, Chhatra Dal Central Committee President Rakibul Hasan Rakib, General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, President of Mymensingh North District Chhatra Dal Nuruzzaman Shohel, Convener of Phulpur Upazila BNP Alhaj Siddikur Rahman, Member Secretary Helal Uddin Helu, Convener of Paurashava BNP Md. Aminul Haque, Member Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Mostafa, and others.


Condolences also came from leaders and activists of all BNP associate bodies including Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, Swechhasebok Dal, and Sramik Dal, as well as civil society members, journalist organizations, teachers, business leaders, and the general public.
Suja’s funeral prayer was held Thursday afternoon after Asr prayers at Fulbaria Government Degree College field, attended by thousands of people. He was later buried at the family graveyard in Rahimganj Union of the upazila.
