Abul Kalam, son of late Jamat Ali of Pitambar Para village in Maijbagh union of the upazila has been in a long-running dispute with Shahed Ali, son of late Keramat Ali and his siblings over ancestral property. On Wednesday, Abul Kalam`s house was vandalized by vandalism and Vita was vacated. Enraged, Shahid Ali attacked and stabbed Abul Kalam`s wife Mina Khatun with a knife in her hand, seriously injuring her. Later, 4 people were injured when both sides clashed. The injured were identified as Jewel Mia, 28, son of Abul Kalam, Abu Hurairah, 45, brother of Shahed Ali and his sister Shahana, 50. Abul Kalam has filed a complaint with Ishwarganj Police Station. Abul Kalam said, "I have been living on my ancestral land for about 32 years by building houses." Suddenly Shahed Ali and his brothers claimed that the land was purchased by them and forcibly demolished my house and tried to build a house there. When I stopped him, he stabbed my wife and seriously injured her.

Shahed Ali`s brother Abu Raihan said, "We are trying to occupy our land by vandalizing this land." However, Abu Raihan could not show any document of that land.

Ishwarganj Police Station OC Abdul Quader Mia said police had been sent to the spot. Legal action is being taken on the matter.
