Dr. Abdul Mannan`s Election Campaign Continues

Desk Report: Dr. Abdul Mannan, Jamaat-e-Islami`s candidate for Dhaka-6, met with motor parts and tire tube traders yesterday. The meeting, chaired by Mujaddid Khan Arafi, Joint Secretary of the association, was attended by Riazul Islam, Vice President of Jagannath University Students` Union.

Dr. Mannan said, "We want to end the neglect of Old Dhaka and ensure modern facilities. We`ll eradicate extortion, terrorism, and drugs, and free footpaths from encroachment. We aim to build a just Bangladesh unitedly."

Later, a public meeting was held in Gendaria`s Dayaganj Jhelepara. Dr. Mannan said, "There`ll be no religious discrimination in Dhaka-6. Everyone will practice their faith freely. You`re not minorities; we`re all citizens of Bangladesh, all Bangladeshis."
